Vegetarian Dogs? You’ll Be The First Against the Wall When the Revolution Comes

Vegetarian Dogs? I hope they kill you and feed on your carcass.

Vegetarian Dogs? I hope they kill you and feed on your carcass.

Recently I have become aware of the movement by vegetarians and vegans to impose their beliefs on their pets.

Pet owners (I am not a dog lover, I should add) have every right to do what they like with their animals. As long as it’s legal, not brutal or cruel.

However, to me, the “cruel” line can be drawn in all kinds of places. One of them, surely, is the issue of whether to feed your dog (carnivore) meat, or whether to make the dog eat a vegetarian or vegan diet.

Surely the dog would not have much problem making a choice? Put down a steak or sausages and a bowl of vegetarian alternatives, and see which the dog eats first.

Is withholding meat from a carnivore cruel?

I guess that is a point of view question. As nobody has (so far) bothered to legislate against it, I guess legally for now it’s not.

For those of you who think vegetarianism in dogs is a great idea, you can check out the site here. For me, I rate it among my picks for Worst of the Web.

Your animals are carnivorous. I hope they get sick of tofurkey, kill you and eat you. At least then we’ll have a definitive answer to the question of whether dogs should eat meat, or could be happy “making the choice” to move towards a world without exploitation.

PS Isn’t using your pet (who has no choice) to further your belief structure also exploitation?
