My name is Ashley Cotter-Cairns, but you can call me Ash. I am a full-time, work-at-home dad of three boys, as well as a self-employed webmaster, web publisher, writer and gun-for-hire.
I have been creating websites since May 2006. The road has been long and winding, with plenty of mistakes made before I felt confident that I’d chosen the correct path for me. Could I have given up? Of course, but I’m glad I didn’t. I’m beginning to get a grip on what it takes to do business online.
But enough about me: what about this blog?
Incredibly it’s taken me this long to start my first WordPress blog. I think the fear of the technical challenges kept me away, but now that I have done it once, I’m sure I’ll do this again in the future.
It’s fun, and the one-minute install at HostGator made it a snap for me to get started.
Tech-Connect is supposed to be a fun place to connect with whatever’s fun on this incredible Internet thingy of ours. When I see something outstanding — outstandingly good, or outstandingly bad — I’ll post.
If you have something outstanding you’d like to share, send me an email on ashley[at]tech-connect.com and I’ll check it out. If it fits, it’s in!
I hope this new journey into WordPress is going to be quite a ride. Enjoy!
